How to Install PVR-500 with SageTV 2.2

Hello,

I've finally gotena round to repacing my pvr250 with a pvr500 & have run into a little problem.

What I did was pulled the 250 out, installed the 500, I then removed the exiting drivers using the hauppage hwclear program & rebooted, I then installed the current pvr 500 drivers (the MCE 2.5 package on hauppages web site)

Sage refuses play nicely with the card, if I go to watch tv, it says
"There was a capture error in playback
Error(-4,0x8007048f): There was an problem using the capture device. Please be sure you have the latest drivers installed for your capture device, and that they are installed correctly"

Any one have any suggestions ???

Thanks
Paul.

Is Australia a PAL land? If so, check out this thread for setting the video format code & see if that helps.

Heya,

I am using version 2.0.24.24035 from:
ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/download/wintv-...0.24.23025.zip

I'd be willing to be the problem is the driver version. Though before digging into that, I assume you setup the 500 in Sage? As well does WinTV work with the 500?

Hope this helps,
RedR
