Sound Synchronization being lost

I am trying to export some of my Sage recordings to DVD.

Windows Media Player (and Sage) play the mpgs fine (recorded in DVD standard play).

However, in Nero Express and TMPGE Author, the audio lags behind the video (by a few seconds per minute).

Running ReClock, it thinks that the audio stream is 48000 bits/s in WMP, but 44100 in Nero Express.

Any suggestions for how I can clear up this issue?

Craig

This is probably a malformed audio header at the beginning of your file. Try clipping the first 2 or 3 seconds and see if that helps.

Thank you very much for the help.

It seems to happen with all my SageTV files. Is there a setting I have incorrect? Is there a way to check my headers? What would you use to clip the first few seconds out?

Thanks,
Craig

I recommend VideoRedo for MPEG editing. I hear the MPEG2VCR is also good, but I've never used it.

However, to correct your problem, I think it would be best to prevent it from happening in the first place. Try changing your drivers. Go more recent if you can or older if you can't.
