Sage *sometimes* very slow after recent upgrade
Has this happened to anyone else? I have the 350 card. Ever since I have installed the latest version, sometimes Sage will be very slow in the menus - it will take 15 seconds for a click to register, or a keystroke. I have checked disk space, and there is plenty left, and I also have my Norton A/V set to not scan the video directory.
It will clear itself up after an amount of time has gone by, or if I restart Sage. Weird.... (and annoying) |

This happens to me on my PVR350 system as well. I have not been able to find a fix for it. Worked like a champ with 2.0.19. Didn't start until I upgraded to 2.2. I'd roll back if it wasn't for my 2.2 client and SageMC STV.

I haven't noticed this on my system. What I ended up doing though, is creating a bat file that launches sage with /abovenormal priority. I find this evens out the performance. There still are times it seems to be reluctant to do things, but they aren't so pronouced so that they are _extremely_ frustrating. Annoying, but not frustrating.

Yes I have this too. After much playing around with codecs and options, it has been OK for a few days. Two things seem to have improved things for me:
I have disabled 3d acceleration. I have a PVR350, but don't use it for output. My PVR related settings are all set to disabled, including "Hardware Playback Only". Quote:

I don't think it's 350 related. I run 250 and USB2 and I also noticed this.
I also have 512Mb RAM. I noticed in task manager while playing a Video that sometimes RAM utilisation goes well above 512Mb (around 570) meaning that there is a bit of swapping going on when stopping a video and loading the menus. I am adding more memory...... I suspect that you may also have around 512Mb. If that's the case, then this is the explanation. I noticed that with the release of 2.1,2.2 etc, the RAM requirements have steadily increased. Crashless may have more so doesn't get into that.
