basic hd help requested
I have a regular, plain old CRT TV for the time being. I also have digital cable.

what would I need to be able to just watch HDTV channels on my current tv? what about to capture them? can they just be captured at a standard resolution with a regular tuner card somehow?

originally I thought (for now) my provider only had HDTV channels that duplicated other channels, but in higher definition. I've found a few exclusive programs I'd like to see recently though.

The cable box should downconvert to SD for you. You'd just connect the STB to your TV (or capture card) via S-Video.
