What happens when the same show is listed on two channels?

I have a problem in my area where Boston Red Sox baseball games are broadcast on Channel 11, UPN, on Friday nights. But, the TV listings show the game as playing on both Channel 11 and Channel 30 (NESN, the local sports channel). For whatever reason, Sage always decides to record the game on Channel 30 instead of Channel 11 and I end up missing the game.

To combat this, I thought I would set up two favorites:

One favorite to record [Boston Red Sox Baseball] on 11
A second favorite to record [Boston Red Sox Baseball] on 30

Last night, I made sure that the channel 11 favorite had the higher priority, but Sage still recorded the game on Channel 30 - even though the channel 30 favorite was a lower priority.

Is there anything I can do to make sure the right channel gets recorded in these instances?

I guess they must have the same show ID, or else they would be seen as separate shows. How about using just 1 favorite, set to record the show on channel 11? If you don't want to record channel 30, don't make that a fav.

The problem is that on Mon-Thurs, the Red Sox games are on Channel 30, so I need a favorite to cover those games.

Then, on Fridays, the game is on Channel 11 (but is listed on both 11 & 30), so I need a favorite to cover those games as well.

So reducing to one favorite for Channel 11 does not solve the problem.

Any thoughts as to how I can make this work?
