Unhappy New User

Okay, I've been trying for the past few hours to get SageTv / Actisys IR200L to control my Motorola Sat box..... no joy... I went through the wizard setup, created a new IR profile and "taught" the Actisys using my remote for the sat box, this worked great..... now comes the problem when I test the numbers nothing happens i.e. I can see the IR flashing but no change of the channel...... try to reprogram and same results? I can control the box from the exact same distance/location with the sat remote? I have tried many different distance/position for the actisys but no joy?

I have a Philips MCE remote attached via the USB port (HID device in control panel) but I'm not even try to control Sage with this at this stage just trying to get the actisys to work.....

Sorry fo rth elong post but I have searched the forum and read almost all messages with "actisys" in body but can't seem to find an answer?

Any thoughts?? appreciate any help you can offer

Thanks

Try using a different method for teaching the Actisys the remote codes. I know we've mentioned it elsewhere but the gist of it is that some times the IR-200L learns better if you do a "tap, tap" instead of one long press, or sometimes a "tap, press".

Let us know.

Thanks, that did the trick! I'd read that post but misunderstood the step as I thought I'd already passed that stage hahaha
