newbie, need real help

I have been looking everywhere for a solution to my issue, i am thinking someone in here might be able to point me in the correct direction. I just got a WinTV PVR500MCE and am very excited to use it. I downloaded SageTV and installed and setup the tuner in SageTV and when i go to view TV, i get an error i see a lot in here (but i never found an answer) error: "There was a playback error in playback: Details sage.PlaybackException: ERROR (-4,0x80040217) There was a problem rendering the video portion of the content for playback." I have no clue, below i will describe my setup and please let me know what is wrong.

OS: XP Pro MCE2k5
Video Card: Geforce 4200i AGP
Sound: Blaster USB
Ram: 256Mb
CPU: AMD 2100 XP

The card works with MCE2k5, so i know i have it hooked up correctly. At this point I am at a loss. Please Help Me.

My decoder choices in the setup menu i think are Default, WM9, and NVidia. I may have the names wrong, but maybe someone can understand me. I want to get this working before the trial expires. I am eager to get this running.

A couple guesses:

Try selecting something other than Default in Setup -> Detailed Setup -> Video -> decoder filter.

Double check that your country code is set correctly; see this info.

i have tried other settings/combos besides default and my sage.properties file for video format is correct = 1 NTSC USA

any other things i could try?

I thought I remembered reading that people are having problems running MCE and Sage on the same machine at the same time. This may relate to your problem. Read this thread and see if you can get some insights.
