Caller ID Plugin

Just wanted to say that it seemed like a good idea to get this working but it is not so easy.

Not all modems support this I've already tried Aopen(forget which model since I returned it for store credit) and US Robotics 5660A apperantly not compatible with Type1 callerid but is compatible with Type2.

Found this link that might help some....

Thought i'd share my 2 days of troubleshooting. Ofcourse this has nothing to do with the plugin and I still can't wait to make it work. Have to wait since i've spent too much on the previous two modems.

I had a little trouble finding a modem that would work for my server last year.

This is the modem I ended up with and works great. I purchased it at Staples here in the US.

Model 3025 V.92 56K-PCI Modem
56 Kbps V.92 PCI FaxModem

Works with Win95, 98, 98SE, Me, 2000 and XP
Voice Mail support
Caller ID support
