Help needed re: DVB setup

I've tried setting up my Twinhan DVB-T with Anders' SDVBCoreRecorder and seem to have written my .ini file and altered the sage properties file fine - the 'local host' option is coming up in Sage tv. I then have set up the XMLTV plugin as per http://www.sisko.org/ and this seems to be going according to plan. However whenever I get to the screen for setting up the channels it lists the channels all the info appears but live tv just isn't working - the screen is black. When I go to watch a channel there isn't an error message - just a black screen. Does anybody know what the culprit for this might be? I thought it might be worth noting that I only have 8mb onboard graphics - will this make a difference or cause probs? Any help massively, massively appreciated.
