EPG is not working on my computer
Sage has not done an update on my system for 11 days.
This may have started when I upgraded JRE 1.5. I have also upgraded to Sage 2.2.8 fro 2.2.7, but that was 4-5 days later. Didn't 2.2.8 come out after the 2nd of April? Anyway, everything was working and now it is not. The System Information says next upgrade in 0 Minutes. I have tried to remove sources and then re-add then, but the computer just sists there FOREVER when I chooose a zip code. My computer forever says "Please wait while the channel linup is downloaded for Mediacom - Cedar Rapids". I am running XP SP2, but the firewall is not enabled. Other network traffic inside of Sage, including WRS, works fine. I have tried to switch to Originalv2.stv and this has the same result. Any tips? ------------ I gave up cause my guide data was almost out. I backed up my wizbin and prefs, uninstalled Sage, deleted my Sage folder and did a reinstall. Started up and the guide data seemed to work ok. I replaced the wizbin and prefs and all my settings returned, but so did my problem. Ah ha! I said to my dog who was napping nearby. I removed the wizbin and the problem still was there. I took a pref file from a month ago and replaced the one in my Sage folder. Everything is working normally now, so someone or something messed up my pfres file. Weird how EPG was the only thing broken. Anyway it's working now, but of course I have to reinstall and reconfigure all the extra crap I got working in the last month. Last edited by eobiont; 04-14-2005 at 11:43 PM. |

Try this...
I've seen the same problem. If I remove the "Jave Runtime 5.0 Update 2" from my computer, the EPG starts working again. I cannot yet explain WHY, but it clearly worked right away on my system. (Win XP Pro, Hauppauge 250, SageTV 2.2, XMLTV lineup (denmark)).
Hope this helps you! Cheers Thomas |
