On Screen Menus on TV incomplete

I've just installed Sage TV and PVR 350 on a dedicated box connected to a satellite receiver and Sony TV.

The problem I am having is incomplete menus displayed on the TV. The monitor is fine. Sometimes I get the full menu other times the left panel or the right or just one row of the display. When one panel is displayed moving over to the other panel will get it displayed. When one row is displayed scrolling down or up will eventually get the other rows completed.

I have updated the Hauppauge drivers, made sure the menu display is sized correctly for the screen so it doesn't overscan.

It looks to me like the menu graphics are being generated and displayed before the software has had a chance to build the whole display.

(examples attached of monitor and menus on TV)

Any ideas anybody, or can you point me to the post that deals with this?

Thanks

I don't have any experience with the 350 directly... Have you tried reinstalling? Make a backup first then uninstall Sage and reinstall the 2.2.8 version...?

Just thought I'd do an update on this. In the end I used an Nvidia card which has been successful so have never used to the PVR350 video out in anger. I did go back to the problem and it's still there. Conclusion don't bother with the PVR350 video out, just get a decent video card.

Which sort of removes the need for a 350 really, just use a 150 and save $30

With the exception of the EOF bug with the 350 output, it works great for me and the picture quality is much better than a standard TV out for SD.

Are you using the latest drivers?

I am having a similar problem on a test machine that I have installed the SageTV 2.2.8 client on. I dont know why it is happening yet. I have to test some more. I will also try to install the NEW version 4 Client and see if thats any different behavior. The video card only has 16MB of ram (but its on my wifes XP PRO machine, and she didnt need much more than that) But maybe SageTV client needs more Video ram??

Basically the pop up menus (like when I right clicked) didnt get painted 100% on the screen. I would only see like 2 menu choices displayed at a time. Sort of like your first picture. hmmmm
