How to reduce RCA volume with an adapter?

Anybody tried reducing the volume on the rca inputs of their PVR 150's yet? I am getting tired of having the distorted audio on the shows I record, so I am thinking about reducing the volume on the cables by half. if anybody can tell me how to do this with a resistor I would greatly appreciate it.

Have you tried this utility to change the audio levels: Hauppauge Tweak Tool

It may change the same registry values as this: Fix Found!: Audio through line-in too loud and Distorted, but if not, there is another thing to try.

Yeah, that utility only changes the audio recording level on the Tuner input. I tried that one already. Kinda frustrating they didn't make the RCA's tweakable.

You are looking to adjust the line-in volume? When did you last try it? I may be misunderstanding something here, but one of the updates mentions that audio line-in settings are supposed to work (in the SHS thread mentioned on the tweak tool site) & the screen shot shows "Volume-Tuner" and "Volume-Line in (L)". Of course, I don't have a 150 to use with that program, so just ignore me if I'm way off base here.

Andy, is right, the tool has a line in property.

But you will also need to install the latest 150 drivers.

Note that this only works with the latest 150 drivers from what I 've heard.
