XMLTV/SageTV newbie need help!

Ok I have spent a lot of time trying to get XMLTV to work with SageTV since I have very limited listings for my area here in Tulsa. I followed the FAQ, I downloaded Lester Jacobs plugin. I can go to my SageTV directory look at my epgdata and it has all my channels and programming. I cannot figure out how to setup SageTV in order to us XMLTV. I follow the setup wizard, I have tried both using my zipcode and also entering 00000, I never see XMLTV as a choice. Depending if I use my zipcode or not my choices are Dish network, Direct TV, Dish network Tulsa, Tulsa antenna(or something like that) If I enter Dish Network I get Dish Network guide, If I select Tulsa I get a couple of channels that I received before trying to use the plugin.

Any help, hints, would be very appreciated! I have only a few more days of my sageTV trial, I really don't have much use for it unless I can get my local programming.

Well I fixed it or it fixed itself! I went back and retyped my plugin data in properties. Works great now. Now if I could only get dscaler to work with pvr250.

To use dscaler with SageTV you need to download the Elecard MPEG-2 decoder from www.elecard.com. Then when you select the Elecard decoder in Detailed Setup > Video, you will get the Dscaler options.

Thanks for the quick response, I will try it out. Any special settings to try? I have only been using sagetv on my computer monitor so far. I don't have a cable long enough to go from my video card to my television set to see what it looks like yet. When I go fullscreen it looks soft and noisy, I will have to hook up my Directv receiver( also far from my computer) and see what that looks like compared to my Cox cable connection, which is not very good.
