Tuning still not working in SageTV 2.2.7

Just installed trial version of SageTV 2.2.7 over all-functional SageTV 2.0.19 (PVR-350, Asus P4, 512 MB). Everything seems to be working well (including OSD with latest Hauppauge drivers) EXCEPT the tuning does not work anymore. Just a black screen is all I get.

I noted an earlier thread on a similar problem with DCaptureShow.DLL in SageTV 2.1 - I tried using this dll in SageTV 2.2 but no success - anyway, the thread mentioned the problem was solved in SageTV 2.2.1 already.

I tried many things, reinstalling the whole thing, using old Hauppauge drivers, new ones etc., no effect. With SageTV 2.0.19 and the newest drivers all seems well (even OSD now) but I wish to use the latest Cayars STVs badly (they look great!).

Any ideas out there with this huge problem??????

Some other info, unclarities: in SageTV 2.0 I installled my XMLTV ( I am in the Netherlands) via TRIAL and ZIPCODE 00000, when I install SageTV2.2 over 2.0 it copies these settings and in the Channel setup all seems well but only black screen. If I reconfigure the PVR-350 capture card in SageTV I use zip code 00000 to get the XMLTV working (no need to use TRIAL anymore) - this works out fine again, I get all channels in the list but again only black screen.

One more note: each time after trying to use the LiveTVguide to get a channel (which turns out black) the screen of SageTV seems to be messed up, moreover when I start WinTV2000 (hauppauge) I also do not get a signal anymore. On the other hand after a reset WinTV2000 displays my channels correctly (I copied the frequencies from the Hauppauge registry entries to the Microsoft TV system registry - I guess this works the same as for SageTV 2.0).

Please help me out on this....I spent already 10 hours configuring this.

Just had exactly the same problem myself... Unfortunately one of the parameters in the sage.properies file for the encoder is not correct. The link below details the problem for the PVR 150, but is also applies to the PVR 250 and PVR 350:

The value you want depends on the PAL format you use, some are listed here, the rest are in the user manual p178:

Buzzy, you really made my day. This works excellent - apparently should have read the manual after all.

I will now install Cayars STV......
