if IR is disabled why did a bunch of shows appear in my recording list?

this is the first time it's happened and I've been running sagetv for a while, sometimes more actively, sometimes not recording for weeks/months.
But yesterday I got a digital box and reset my source to include the new channel lineup. I went to schedule 3-4 shows via live tv setup. I went back into view upcoming recording schedule and another 3-4 were there that I guess could be of a similar genre, but which I have not added. I have no favorites setup.

Thanks

I didn't notice. I deleted them last night. If they come up again, I guess I'll repost.

I was just surprised to see them there and didn't know if I needed to fix a setting.

Do you have actors set as favorites?

no i have never used favorites

and these shows were of a similar genre but had no (obvious) direct overlap (ie actor or title). I could see how sage might think I was interested but I wasn't and generally don't have sage set to do anything automatically ( AFAIK).

Wait... how did you delete them? Were they completed recordings, or shows scheduled to record later? If they were scheduled manual recordings, maybe there were a few errant presses of the record button? Scheduled IR and favs don't get cancelled that easily by just 'deleting' them.

I just clicked on em! They were shows I have never clicked on, I promise! Since I didn't pay much attention to them and the sequence of my clicks, I probably should wait and see if this comes up again.
