Alot? Hard to say how much alot is. I'll say some, just how much improvement seen by different people depends on the person. But you're also talking getting a new TV. First there's the comparison of the two sets with same input, which is better? Likely the new but not necessarily. Also, on smaller 20" PQ changes aren't as noticably as on larger displays. Technically speaking Svideo should give better PQ than composite. I will say I had to go from component output via ATI dongle to SVideo feeding our Toshiba 55" for a couple days awhile back. I noticed a decrease in PQ while Debi didn't.
As far as your video card supporting component output, don't have a clue. I could likely go to their website and find out but not going to, 'cuz so can you.
