Upgrading from SDTV to HDTV

Well I finally broke down and bought a new HDTV set. Got the Samsung HLP 5063 so it's got the HDMI, DVI and VGA inputs as well as a slew of comonent and composit inputs.

I've got an NVidia 6600GT and was wondering what configuration would be best. Since I don't have a monitor attached to my system I was thinking of using the VGA and a DVI input just to actually have a computer and then Sage on another inupt. Is this a good idea or is there a better way to hook it all up?

I'm assuming that I just reset the aspect ration from 4x3 to 16x9 and sage is good to go, is this correct (only reason I ask is I've not played around much at all with the new HD sets)

I have HLM 507W DLP. I use DVI for everything. No reason to think of Sage and PC as different activities on different links unless your talking about different and discrete PC's. If that's the case, I would put HTPC (Sage) on DVI for improved PQ and generic PC on VGA input. I have a VGA link from XCard to DLP but rarely use.
I am using ATI 9600XT with no issues.

Really just thinking that since the video card has 2 outputs (both DVI but can be converted to SVGA) that I could have the windows desktop on one input and sage on the other. This set can also do split screen which would be nice for watching tv while web browsing or some such.
