So from what I read in the other thread DirMon wasn't scanning anything for you which means you were using the internal comskip processing in the STV. Make sure you disable that stuff in the STV since you are now going to use DirMon instead.

Ah...what do I disable? "Background commercial processing = Disabled?"

Now I guess I don't need the comskip proxy anymore either, right?

Hey quick question. I have SageMC build 4 for SageTV 2.2.8 and use ComSkip (I have been using this STV for about a week so please bare with me if this is a newb question)

Iit seems that if I watch a DVD, the next time I watch recorded TV the STV doesn't autoskip the commericals. They still show up in purple on the timebar, but no matter what it doesn't skip it. I've tried to disable and enable the Autoskip, sleep and upsleep but alas no luck. Is this a known bug? Am I doing something incorrectly?

Thanks!

(I will be switching to Sage V3, but I want it to be a little more stable first...)

I have had this problem too. I would say it is a bug.

From what I understand Mlbdude "The Great" doesn't support the comskip that is incorporated into this STV. I believe ToxMox did (or does).

ToxMox can you please look into this if you have the time.

I thought this would be a good idea to incorporate into this STV.

IMDB look up of show information. For example, if I have "24" recorded it would have a selection button where it would look up information on the show on IMDB without me having to type up the search.

Just an idea that I thought I would throw out there.

I need to know if this happens with V3. Then I need to know if it happens when using the Original V3 STV with Nielm's comskip import.

For what it is worth I don't support this either. Mlbdude a while back put the comskip code in this STV and it didn't work right so I just went in and put things in the right place. I don't even use this STV. I don't think I'll be making any changes since AFAIK this code is the same code being used in the import.

Also since they are showing up in purple it sounds like you aren't even using the latest STV I posted with the updated comskip code.

Can anyone tell me if users of SageTV 2.2.8 use the latest Beta of SageMC (SageMC_169_5_b_7.zip) or is it only for users of SageTV 3.0?

Recording commerical free channels to a separate directory

I am still using the Cayars 17 STV.

I am looking for a solution to have the commerical free channels, such as movie channels record on a separate directory.

If commerical free programs are recorded to a separate directory then comskip.exe or Show Analyzer would not waste resources scanning recordings that do not have commericals.

Does this STV have the ability to save commerical free channels to a separate directory? Or, does anyone have a method to avoid wasting resources scanning programs that are already commerical free?

Dave

Well in Cayars 17 if you are using the built in commercial skipping routines then you can set the movie channels in the detailed setup and comskip will never scan shows recorded on those channels.
The other say is to use DirMon with ShowAnalyzer and Nielm's webserver. SA has the ability to scan or not scan depending on numerous things. Channel being one of them.

I've noticed that with the latest build, I can longer "Play from Here" in the music section. It will just play one song and then stop. I can however, go into the queu and play the entire album there. Anyone else experienceing this? Thanks

Josh

Mine does the same thing and I was told to check the installation directories. That doesn't seem to work. Since this STV uses older v2 folders I have no idea. Untill it is re-packaged I don't think it will ever work correctly for me anyway. If you do get it fixed, I would certainly like to know what the situation is?

Everything you need is included in the base package and update. I would verify that the properties lines for the themes are in your properteis file and verify that the image folders are where they should be.

ui/themes/0/image_root=Images_MC
ui/themes/0/title=MCE
ui/themes/1/image_root=Images_bt
ui/themes/1/title=BlueTwo
ui/themes/2/image_root=Images_bt_m
ui/themes/2/title=BlueTwo Blue Steel

That is what I see in my sage properties about themes. Should it say anthing else?
