Mlbdude, is there a way to modify the name "My menu" in your main menu screen into "Manual Recording" (in my case, since I only use it for this one purpose)?

I've run into a small but annoying problem with the latest version (BETA 6 SageTV 3.x STV). As I go forward and backward through the menus I keep getting a Windows fault message that pops up and indicates that there is nothing in the DVD drive and displays the "Cancel, Retry, Continue" message. I can continue or cancel and keep going but it gets annoying. It only happens when the drive is empty but I rarely have a DVD in the drive so the message gets very annoying. I went back to Beta 5 and the problem goes away. Anyone seeing this problem?
Thanks, Greg

I also had the problem about 6 months age also. I was able to solve the problem simply by turning my DVD drive off (it is external). I'm sure this solution doesn't help you much - sorry. Mlb - any idea whether you are going to add channel icons to the mini-guide or not? Cheers dude |

Probably no channel icons to the mini-guide in the near future, it is on the list but REAL far down. I would not wait for it.
If anyone can find a way for me to reproduce the DVD drive issue let me know. |

Under the sagetv folder, or somewhere in the java install? And does that mean I need to keep track of all of the STV custom stuff I install so I can move it when the JRE upgrades itself? Thanks, Rob |

The .class and .java files in the STV zip file go in the SageTV folder (with the associated folder location in the zip file). If you just unzip the file to the Frey Technologies/SageTV, or SageTV/SageTV (if using SageTV V3), keeping directory structure, you should be okay.

Small bug: I've noticed when pressing play/pause, the time bar at the bottom pops up. Previously pressing Display could remove the time bar, but now it doesn't.
I've also noticed the animations are never smooth for me when something is playing. Is it that way for everyone? Love the new mini guide btw.

Try out the latest dev build if you have any problems. I will look into the timebar thing.
The animations are smooth for me with recorded TV but are slow with any video library file. I would assume they are pretty CPU intensive the way Sage is handeling them. |

Flashback, found that pause/play bug. It is fixed in the latest dev build.

I downloaded and installed the latest version but am having trouble with the themes. When I go to settings and themes, I can't switch from the default. It says showing theme 1 of 0 and won't change. The sageproperties file has all the lines there, but even restarting Sage will not allow me to view or change the theme.
Really frustrating as I would like to use the newest version but don't like the default theme I am stuck with... Any suggestions??? |

If you're running the Sage service, you need to add those lines to the sageclient.properties file.

I'm just running regular SageTV, no idea about sageclient??

And you exited Sage TV (not just sleep) when you added those lines? Go back in and they are probably not there. You need to exit Sage TV fully before editting the sageproperties file.

Yes, but if you've enabled the SageTV service, then when you run SageTV it runs in pseudo-client mode and uses the sageclient.properties file in leu of the sage.properties file (which the service uses). |

I've never knowingly enabled the SageTV service and can't find a sageclient.properties file.
I exited out of Sage before going into the sage.properties file but these lines were already there so I have not edited or changed the file at all... The previous version of SageMC that I was using had several themes that I could switch between so I assume that is why these lines were already there. :-( |

What version of SageTV are you running? This only works with 3.x.
