Trouble Playing Audio Files
Windows XP Professional SP2
Sage TV 2.2 Trial P4 HT Proc 1gb Ram Nvidia and Cyberlink Codecs Installed BFG Geforce FX 5700LE Video Card w/256mb Haupauge 150 Capture Card I am evaluating this software for potential purchase as an HTPC interface. I am receiveing an error each time I try to play a music (MP3) file. The error is: "There was an Error During Playback. Details: sage.Playback.Exception: ERROR(4,0x0): There was an error rendering the video portion of the content for playback." I have tried all available codecs in detailed setup but always receive this error. Any help would be appreciated. |

same problem here...
I'm having the exact same problem playing audio files, strange thing is that it works through Windows Remote Desktop on another machine, though. So I guess that means it's not a codec problem.

Any luck?
Did anyone happen to figure this one out? I'm having the exact same problem.
About 1/2 of my MP3s play fine, the other 1/2 generate the cannot render video portion error. All MP3s are the same bitrate, all ripped using the same program, all have embedded cover art in their version 2.3 ID3 tags...they all play fine in ITunes or WMP. Does anyone have any ideas? I've also tried every codec and renderer installed on my machine to no avail. Running Sage 2.2. Thanks! Robb |

I'm still having the error as well. Just like you, Snapdaddy, it only occurs on some of my mp3 files. My attempts to correct the problem included a fresh format/reinstall of windows as well as upgrading to the latest beta. Neither of which worked and I still get the error. I'll post the exact error code when I get home today. All mp3's play fine in WMP, itunes, winamp, etc...they all even play fine on my xbox media player. Very frustrating.
