6600gt res swap
I know this isn't the Nvidia or powerstrip forum... but I trust you guys more so I'd rather ask here.
I just got the MSI 6600gt. So far I do notice a differance in the quality over my ATI 9550. The only issue I'm having right now is changing resolutions on the fly. I had powerstip all set up with my 9550 but the 6600gt treats resolutions differently. I'd like to run sage at 720x480, and then use lets say MCE @ 1080. with the 9550 in powerstip it was easy. But the 6600gt groups the res's into 480p and 1080i. So if I'm running at 480p, then hoy key over to 1080, it does 1080 but scaled (screen moves up around with the mouse) then if I go into the display props, and actually switch to the 1080 catagory, it looks fine... but if I hoykey over to 480, it shows it tiny in the center of the screen. I've tried playing with the Nvidia profiles but have no clue why it won't do the proper swith and neither will powerstrip. Anyone know what to do? is it even possible or I'm SOL??? Hope you didn't fall alseep Thanks

I have 960x540, 1776x1000, and 1920x1080 defined as hotkeys. I'm not sure what you mean about switching between categories.

well with the 6600gt it seems that 480p and 1080i are in seperate catagories. I can't switch to 720x480 from 1920x1080 or vice versa. I get scaling or a really small centered screen

Component output huh? I've got no experience with that, I'm just using the VGA output (my TV has RGBHV inputs).
Have you tried the latest drivers (71.84 IIRC) they've added a lot of nice HDTV features. |
