Another MCE Remote question

So i've been reading through & searching these forum posts for the last 2 days, and tinkered with sage for countless hours with no luck.

i've got Girder 3.3, and i've downloaded the Sage Girder plugin, but still no luck. The numbers & channel/vol up/down buttons work, but that's about all.

i've read that Sage 3.0 will natively support it, but can it really be that impossible? I've tested Snapstream & Mediaportal and both provide almost perfect MCE Remote support. But i'd like to get Sage working with it if possible.

Any/all help much appreciated.

Try to be patient for a little while longer on this remote. Why? There is some AWESOME work being finished now by a gifted developer in France that will for the first time allow users of the great MCE remote to use ALL the features - ir blasters included! It will make the MCE remote and reciever into a $35 USBUIRT KILLER. I have both (MCE remote and USBUIRT) and the MCE is way nicer.

It's problem has always been that it's ir blasting was crippled unless you used MCE software. This is no longer the case. As soon as it's ready to go, I'll forward info to Jeff and Dan because they will want to implement this in Sage ASAP.

shadymg: For the remote itself, you do not need to use Girder to make use of the MCE remote with SageTV, thought perhaps one of the Girder MCE plugins could make use of more buttons? For the MCE remote buttons listed on this MS site, SageTV will recognize all the commands except those using WM_INPUT messages. The rest of the buttons just send key codes or WM_APPCOMMAND messages, which are discussed on p. 154 of the v2.2 manual. (Those are the same codes that those multimedia keys use on some keyboards.)

PGPfan: I'm curious... can the MCE blaster be used to control multiple boxes? What about multiple boxes that all use the same IR codes? I'm guessing that multiple boxes using separate codes might work.

Anybody using this with success? I'm having a few issues with the stability of communication between the remote and Sage (and Girder). But I think these are related the the NVIDIA decoder.
