sage vs dtvcontrol

Ok I posted earlier about problems with the serial control on my sony sat-b50. I finally got it working and could swich channels with the dtvcontrol program. The way I was able to make it work is by unchecking "new command set" on the system menu. With sage, I can not get it to swich the channel. Is there a way to use the old command set with sage, for the older recievers?
