Skipping with any decoders in Sage

I switched Sage and my PVR250 over to a new computer dedicated to the TV. However, no matter which decoder I try, it skips every few seconds, like I hit the fast forward button. It does this for MPG's, live tv, and DVD's only in Sage.

Other programs I use work fine, such as power DVD for DVD's, winamp and wmp classic for MPG's recorded with Sage.

I'm running a P4 2.4 ghz with 500k ram, SB live sound board, an NVIDIA Geforce4 mx 4000, SATA Seagate hard drive, VIA chipset motherboard, and windows 2000 running to a monitor. The mother board has an integrated graphics card, but that's disabled in windows.

my other computer had nearly the same specs and Sage worked great. Specifically for decoders, I've tried the cyberlink, NVIDIA, intervideo on overlay and vmr9. The NVIDIA had much more stuttering than the others. I've also tried different settings on the codecs themselves using filter manager. I'm at a loss.

Anyone have any other ideas I could try? Thanks.
