mp3 problems: id3 tags and track orders

I ripped my entire CD collection to .mp3s so that I could play them through Sage, and now I'm having a couple of problems.

First, some mp3s just won't play. They aren't recognized by Sage, and they don't show up when I search for them. I read in another post that this might be because they have id3v2 tags, but I stripped out all the tags and replaced them with id3v1 tags and still no go. Any clues? (I'm not circumventing DRM here, by the way: these are all non-DRM CDs I bought myself and ripped with different programs.)

Second, Sage always plays all the songs in an album alphabetically, now. It used to play them by track number, I think before I upgraded to 213. Is there a hidden setting I can tweak, or is this a bug?
