SageTV won't record anymore
I have version 2.1.10 installed. It has been working flawlessly for several months.
The computer wakes up to record a favorite, but the hard disk appears to be reading and writing all of the time. When the end of the show comes the HDD light keeps running. I have to cut the power to the unit because I can't get the screen to wake up. When I reboot the recording is not there. I have only one PV 250, and no network. I suspect it is the Sage Service, but I shut it off and then turned it back on but still have the problem. Any suggestions? I did add a 2nd HDD but it still worked for some time after that. One drive has a C: partition, and the remainder is where I keep TV, and the other drive I have DVD's. I ran CHKDSK on all 3 partitions and no problems there. I have been away from the forum for a while, so I'm behind on what the latest stable version, and maybe I need to upgrade the version I have. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

I think I've fixed the problem. I turned off Sage Service and tried to just let the computer shut itself down and restart. I couldn't make this happen with nothing running.
I went into the BIOS and changed the power management setting to S1 & S3. Rebooted and it still wouldn't work. I then reset the power management to S3, and it did wake up. Now I'm trying a SageTV recording. I'll post the results. |

That did it.
I want to apologize for assuming it was a SageTV problem. It was my cheap motherboard/BIOS. It is now working as it has in the past. |
