Cannot install PVR 150 Hauppauge decoder app
This is related to the remote stops working problems I've seen here. Everything was working great until I encountered the same remote problems everyone else had.
To resolve this the remote issue I wanted to remove and update my driver to the one posted in this forum by InTheFlow. I ran the HWClear app to remove the driver/Hauppauge apps. Restarted computer, reinstalled updated driver, installed WinTV2000, then went to install the decoder. I ran across this error and could not install the Hauppauge software decoder. "Could not load the DLL library c:\windows\system32\hcwpnp32.dll. The specified module could not be found." I found this dll in the last zip pvr 150 driver on hauppauge's site, pasted it into the above folder, and the decoder install just didn't run. It was worth a try, but I guess this didn't work at all. I noticed there were some posts about this problem dated May '04, it mentioned to use the unregister.bat for the 250/350 cards. What does this do? Does anyone think it might work for me? Anyone else running into this again?? If it's not one thing it's another... Thx, Kristen Btw, I am using WinXP |

You can unzip it to a folder of your choice (on your desktop?) then when you restart after running hcwclear and it discovers your 150 again, point it to that directory.
