PVR-500 issue

Well I had a Roslyn in my 1.4GHz T-Bird with 1GB ram, a Highpoint IDE Raid card, several drives, and an xcard. WHen I removed the roslyn, and put in the pvr500 it will run perhaps 25minutes to up to 2 hours and will then spontaneously reboot. No error code, nothing in event viewer, no real reason for this. I placed the card in different PCI slots including the one recommended. I even ran a driver and registry remover for the old drivers and reinstalled the new drivers. Put the latest drivers on the box for all devices and the latest bios. Still reboots. So any new suggestions from the peanut galley here? So far the only solution I can come up with is to get a newer P4 and migrate the server functions to that and make the 1.4 a client. However that costs $$$$.

Just in case something else may have gone wrong or failed with the PC, have you removed the PVR500 and put the Roslyn back in to confirm it's still stable that configuration? Maybe try another power supply, often the culprit in spontaneous reboots.

Don't know what else to say. Added a PVR500 to my Sage Server a month ago without a hiccup.

Related issue...

Will the MCE cards work with Window 2K. The Happauge website only lists XP and MCE.

Thanks

Yea I forgot to mention that as well...New power supply, and yea I put the Roslyn back in...no reboots. Very irritating. Thanks for the suggestions. Hopefully either one will work or I just split it up...once i have enough free cash to put into it.

I had reboot problems until I changed my mobo to an N-Force based board. The PVR500 was not happy with the VIA chipset.
