You can't use Sagetv&WinTV programs at the same time

Hey folks, I just found out that You can't use Sagetv&WinTV programs at the same time. SageTV locks up on error code.

Since they would both be trying to use the same hardware, it goes without saying that they can't be run at the same time.

Ryel, maybe its clear now, but just in case...

With exception of the drivers for the encoder card, you don't need any Hauppauge software to run SageTV.

Sage would be considered a replacement for Hauppauge's WinTV. With of course many more functions and a much better interface.

Is there any particular reason you would need to use both programs together?

No, I just was all wrong about the function of SageTV. I thought it was an add-on without realizing it was a replacement.
