Exclamation SageTV won't record

I have no problems playing the live tv, but when i click the "record" button nothing happens. This happens in the live tv guide, as well as trying to schedule a recording.

I know this is a vauge question, but can anyone help me out? If you need more info just ask and I'll be happy to get it for you.

Thanks,
Jeff

What kind of tuner are you using? Check the list of supported tuners. If you are using a software encoder card, SageTV cannot use it to record any shows.

I have an ATI TV Wonder Pro. I looked on their website and I can't find anywhere saying if it is or isn't a software encoder card. It's not listed under the supported cards, but a different ATI card is listed.

Would it be possible that i dont have an MPEG-2 software decoder and that's he problem? Or is it probably the card?

That card is in fact a software encoder, unsupported by Sage.

That sucks. It's not listed on the supported list, but does anyone know if the Hauppauge! WinTV-GO PCI Card is compatable with Sage?

It is not... that's a software encoder too.
