Look and feel

Now I don't want to come over all shallow or anything, but half of the reason for having such a piece of software is to attain the required "wow" factor.. I love the way sage works.. i've tried pretty much every system out there, and this one beats em all. But it certainly could look better.

I don't know too much about the technicalities of it (I'm a .net developer, not a java developer) but can't we have something that looks a bit more like this???

Yeah, but i like the features of your STV more.. and i'm more looking for something better than MCE, not a cut-down emulation of it. Much as I like sagemc, it doesn't really feel the same as mce to use. So I'd rather use something different, if that makes sense..

The look of a STV or application is really so subjective IMO. I don't like the overall look of MCE, but like the simplicity, I like the layout and look of CAYARS STV, but could live without the extras. Luckily his STV allows me to remove menu items I don't use.

Everyone has an opinion as to what a perfect PVR program should look like.

The core SAGE interface and software is by far the best I've tried and it keeps getting better with the STV's others have made that functionality and features to the core application.

I feel we have the best of both worlds here, including a MCE clone as pointed out by CAYARS.

I don't think your shallow at all, we just need to sit tight and see if this studio program ever leavs the ground, then we all could have it "our way" or we can have a "selection" of STV's that will be close enough that we wont need it.
