Help with Asus PVR-416 and setup
Hello,
I am using this card that was pulled from an HP Media Center PC. I have the latest drivers installed for the card from HP. And I have PowerDVD installed for the video decoder. In SageTV, it detects it as "Conexant 2388x Video Capture TV Tuner". However, I am having problems getting channels to work. We have an antenna on our roof and it is wired into all of the rooms via coaxial cabling. All rooms have a coaxial jack that we just plug the cable into and into the TV and presto, we get all of the local channels with excellent reception thanks to the antenna on the roof. I plugged the coaxial cable from the jack into the coaxial input on the back of card. But I am not sure what I should be choosing for "Input Type" and "Cable/Antenna". I originally tried "Input Type: TV Tuner" and "Cable/Antenna: Antenna" however this does not work. The only channel I can get to come in is 19, but it's heavily distorted and cuts in and out. The audio is perfect, except for when it starts cutting out. I've switched the settings to every other option I can think of but no luck. Am I missing something? Do I need other software for this to work? The TVs work fine plugged into the wall, so I'm assuming this setup is either not supported by SageTV or I'm just blind to the solution. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Last edited by Jedis; 02-24-2005 at 10:28 PM. |

Did some more reading, but still no luck. The actual card is an Asus PVR-416, not the FM1236 (that's the FM tuner).
Any suggestions? |
