Black & White video and another issue

First off, sorry if this isnt in the correct forum, as it involves SageTV and SageRecorder.

I swapped around my setup today and put my server app on my new Raid 5 box. I moved my PVR-USB2 onto that box as well. My PVR250 could not fix in the rackmount case so I bought a SageRecorder license and got it all setup and working so that SageTV sees the PVR250 thats in the other box. The video from that machine is coming across as black and white though and I can't figure out why. The saturation and other color settings were all played around with to try and fix and none of the changes made a single difference.

My second problem is that my SageClient that is running on the machine with Recorder and the other Tuner gives a "problem with rendering the video portion" error when trying to play video when Recorder is launched. Again, I have played around with it with no luck.

Any suggestions on these problems will result in me sending a 6 pack of the finest non-alcoholic beer

Hmmm, interesting. Don't have simple answer. Run a similar config but haven't seen your problem. I'd focus first on getting Sage Recorder totally working stand alone, including playback, then in Network mode for the Server. Wait, are you saying Sage Client gives the rendering playback error when Recorder loaded but Sage Client plays back ok when Recorder not loaded? Interesting indeed.

BTW, feel free to PM me if you'd like to troubleshoot over the phone. (If you have Verizon cell so do I so no time usage)

Would that be Kaliber, Clausthaler Golden Amber or Erdinger Hefe-Weizen? (The three non-alcoholic beers I keep stocked at all times )

Ok, both problems resolved.

1.) I'm an idiot and when I was moving everything around the svideo cable became ever so slightly loose and thats why it was B&W

2.) Reinstalled the SageClient once I got the SageRecorder working perfectly and that problem went away.

Ah, the basic troubleshooting of checking and reseating connections! I'm sure we've all been bit by similar before, know I have over the years. Glad to hear it's resolved.
