Trying to install WinTV-PVR-150 but
I am trying to install the WinTV-PVR-150 drivers in my computer several times without success. Windows is not cooperating with me.
I have followed the instructions on Hauppauge's website by running the HCWCLEAR executable to clear out previous software/driver then rebooting. Upon startup I instucted windows to install driver files from pvr150_inf.zip. After that I run the PVR150_22_22292 executable. Device manager has a yellow exclamtion mark next to Hauppauge card. When I click on the Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (2XXX) I get the following message. Device status: This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) Someone please help me. I will appreciate it. This is what I have: Windows 2000 with all the latest service packs Nforce 2 platform AMD Athlon XP 3200 1 GB DDR |

Make sure you point to the .inf file when Windows asks for a installation file. I had a similar problem, but when supplied with .inf file the card installed fine. There was no need for me to run the .exe file at all. Hope this makes sense. You have extracted the zip files I would assume.

Still no luck. I did unzip the pvr150_inf.zip I did a search for this problem on the forum but did not find anything similiar to what I am dealing with. I am beginning to wonder I did something wrong. I repeated the install process with antivirus software disabled but still same outcome with windows unable to load drivers.

Perhaps there's some sort of IRQ conflict, have you tried a different PCI slot?

My motherboard is not reporting any conflicts. Neither is windows. But I'll try to install the WinTV PVR 150 in a different PCI slot.
