What station am I on?

If I am sitting and watching sagetv and I use the mouse scroll to flip through some channels how can I get the on screen display to show what channel I am on? Left click brings up the time date volume etc, but where is the channel?

Only way I see to check the current channel is go into main menu and live tv guide. Or right click and get detailed info. Can I see the channel as I am flipping channels?

What kind of tuner card are you using? It sounds like you are seeing the results of using a software tuner, which is not really supported at the moment.

Right now I have an Aver TV FM 98. Reasonably sure it's that specific model, anyway, I am sure it's the Conextant 878 chipset and it's an Aver card, so I am using avear's TV series drivers.

I have a Hauppauge PVR-150 on the way.

Well I got the haupage 150 and put it in. I can see a channel in the upper left now, right before sage locks up completely. Will start a new thread about that.

have you tried removing the older card since you put the pvr 150 in ?
and did you get the drivers from hauppauge.com instead of using the CD drivers?
have you installed a DVD decoder or the decoder included with the card?

what are your hardware specs and what have you set the video render to? and what decoder have you select in the setup?
