NVPP and DVD playback - Menu Selector Hidden

Note: I called myself STF in advance and found bingo

NVPP plays DVDs fine (now that I'm ripping off the MV.) However, the menu 'highlight' navigational aide isn't there. Anyone have a clue?

Update:

As an additional note if I select the NVDVD CODEC (vice NVPP) I get the nav cursor. NVPP works fine in video playback of archived, recorded and the DVD VOBs.
