Fascinating, thought my $90 offer including shipping a decent offer but no takers. Last week I tracked 4 PVR250 auctions on eBay and all went for over $100 plus shipping.

ebayers are probably less aware of the availability of the PVR 150. Although the fact that the PVR 250 does CC is a deal maker for me. I would have been interested if you were in Canada.

I don't think this forum section get too much attention. They should move it back to above the country sections.

No offense to Ebayers but I have seen numerous products sell for $20 more than at my local Best Buy or various online etailers. I think Ebay is great way to get more money for a product than it is actually worth. Thank god for stupid auction addicted people.

True, especially computer reladed items often go for too much on eBay. Though I still believe $90 inc shipping was a good offer for a $150 PVR250 and not more than it's actually worth.

I agree, but I think there is a small percentage of people that need the unique features of PVR 250 that a PVR 150 or other affordable Encoder cards do not have.

From what I have seen out of my PVR 500MCE the Tuner is better than my PVR 250 and the PVR150 is basically the same card. For $90 you can get one of these new and it comes with a 1 year warranty. The PVR 150MCE is only $70 if you don't want the remote.

If Close Captions are important to you then it is a fair price at $90 since they are hard to find and the PVR 250 is still $140 retail and the PVR 250 MCE is $130.

I personally only paid $100 for each of my 4 PVR 250s when I bought them several years ago because of mail in rebates.

Guess I'm glad there were no takers, was just trying to offer someone on the Forum a decent deal. It's now on eBay going for more than I was offering it here with 3 days to go!

Sold for $127.50 inc USPS Priority shipping,
works for me! Maybe I'll replace another of the 3 remaining PVR250s in my Server with another PVR500!
