I don't play ripped DVD's, but when I was thinking about the problem you described, one thing came to mind... Do you know what your settings are in Detailed Setup are regarding using external video players is? You can setup Cayars to use an external program to play video files, and there is also a setting to have it only use an external player for unsupported video types. If it does nothing when you select watch, maybe its trying to launch an external app?

Not sure if that's the case, but its the only thing I could think of...

Yes I do have it setup for external player. I'm using TheaterTek. And it's working fine for normal dvd's. Thanks for the input.

And am I correct in assuming that the ripped movies play fine if you play them directly using TheatreTek? How about other imported videos? Do they play alright?

Yes correct! They play fine if I start TheaterTek and run them from within. I'm having problems playing them from within Sage and Carays STV. I'm gonna try a few things tonight to see if I can get it working.

you need to setup the external player command.
goto C:\Program Files\Frey Technologies\SageTV\STVs\OriginalV2\cayars\External

you need to edit the various commands in there to tell it launch TT and with what parameters.

EX: I use zoomplayer and here is my video.cmd file
"C:\Program Files\Zoom Player\zplayer.exe" /F /LOCKFS /VOL:100 "/ADD:%1" /Q
