client or regular startup with beta?
not sure if this should be here, but I am using the 2.2.5 beta and have sage starting as a service.
I am a bit of a newb to sage but I though if I ran the service I had to run sage with the -client switch? I can run sage normally or as the client but is there a difference? does the new beta switch to the correct mode? I ask this as I thought it was "impossible" to run regular sage and the sage service on the same computer. |

when running the service
the "regular" sageTV that loads is basically a client edition |

... and the UI will load automatically as a client of the service; no need to set a command line parameter. Check "Starting SageTV", beginning on p. 13 in the v2.1 manual that is in your SageTV dir. Maybe that will clear it up a bit... or maybe not.
