Did you try Exact Audio Copy (freeware) ? I used this to rip my music to MP3 with LAME, and am using it now to rip to WMA lossless. Some people swear by it, and it creates the tags form what *you* specify (it uses freedb, but you can always edit it before ripping). Give it a try ...
