Hi Carlo,
FYI, I still can't add imported videos to the DVD list with the v16 release... thanks! |

Carlo,
I see another problem that I've been having for some time..... If you do a program search, it will show EVERYTHING, not just TV shows in the guide. For instance, I code my subdirectories of pictures like 2004-10-24, etc to make searching easier. If I search for the TV program, "24", I have to sift through a hundered photos. Also, if I were to search for the TV title "Christmas", it would show every single photo that had Christmas in the title or the subdirectory AND every single MP3 song that had Christmas in the title or album, or artist name. Best regards, Stacy |

Carlo, I am just getting back to the DVD burning setup we started a while ago. Ive been busy to say the least.
Now, with 16 (instead of 16D) I am getting ISOs but they are less then 1MB in size, maybe 800K on average when the process is completed. The ISO has a valid VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS directory, but they appear empty when I open then via WinRAR. I tried just 1 video as well as 4 videos, 3 attempts in total cause the same result. I also changed the drive the temp directory sits on and also the same result. Running the same as before, MPGTX, compression, no commercial editing. Ideas off the top of your head? Thanks! Phil |

I add the few "bugs" mentioned in the above posts to my list to check out.
pciccone, turn on debug mode and you'll see windows open up at each step while each of the individual programs do their stuff. Take note and write down each of the programs that DOES work. The one that doesn't will probably go by to fast to notice what it was so we'll be able to figure it out by what does work. Also write down the setting used when you reply back with the results. Oh, and for this test just use one file and a half hour show will make the process go faster. |

I record at 2 qualities depending on the show. At "DVD ELP" seems to get through the demux and remux, then it creates the VOBs and IFOs via dvdauthor in the "DVD" subdirectory under the TEMP path, all OK. mkisofs.exe then kicks off after dvdauthor.exe is done, also seems OK. But, now - if I try to record shows at the "fair" quality it gets through the 1st step of mpgtx to demux, but then very quickly flys through the rest, I guess because the remux is having a problem with the bitrate or something along those lines? I wonder if you can recreate the problem trying to make an ISO of a program recorded at the "fair" quality setting? Thanks. Phil |

Does info.my file work for Imported Videos? I have folder.jpg and info.my files in the folder with the movie. The jpg shows up, but the details all say None Entered. How can I get those details in there?
Thanks |

I installed 16 and now am getting the end of file crashes... It actually happens after selecting to delete the file. Interestingly, Sage continues to work behind the "Do you want to send an error report?" Once I make a selection in that window... poof... sage shuts down.
Any suggestions? |

Hey Carlo, is there a way I can edit what appears on the "Recording Detail" screen? There's several options there that I *never* use and it's an affront to my laziness that I have to scroll down 6 items when I choose to delete a recording.

Has anyone gotten DVD burning to work on a movie length file that required compression to fit onto one DVD-R? It looks like the compression routine is creating a file that it too big.
When DVD burning starts, I get a DVD Decrypter dialog box that says: DVD Decrypter:If I click "Yes", then burning proceeds and the log contains an entry that says: "User accepted disc space warning and is attempting to overburn!". After burning most of the movie, DVD Decrypter ends with an I/O Error that says "Logical Block Address Out of Range," along with a bunch of other sector stuff. This seems to happen with any file that requires compression.

If you go into DVD Decrypter and use a blank Disc what is the space reported free for the disc? |

Of course, that doesn't mean the software you guys are trying to work with knows how to properly handle all the various settings properly though. |

"fare" isn't a DVD compliant type.

Please note the ones with stream type=10 (for DVD compliance) to see which are and are not (and "fair" is=10):

For reference, the program that was "bombing out" was the re-mux part which is mplex.exe

Hello, is there a way to make SageTV colour certain categories?
Like film instead of movie? Or better yet, to colour certain sub-categories, and have wildcard presets? Like, every subcategory with *film, so "oorlogsfilm" gets coloured also? I ask this because the category translation of the XMLTV import doesn't seem to get all the movies I want coloured. (comedy movies aren't coloured, and when I translate them to movie, the comedy-series get coloured also :-/) Maybe custom colors could be something also... (current colours are almost invisible with my current background) Thanks in advance M |
