I have a question about the volume bar removal and I think I already know the answer. When you disable the volume control in this STV you are just getting rid of the graphic correct? The reason I ask is because even though I removed it I can still turn the volume up and down from the remote - I just don't get the graphic anymore. I am now connected to an external audio tuner, so any changes I make to volume are exponential. If there is no way to disable the actual volume control in the STV I think I may just take out the lines in the irremote.ini file.

Pcicone pretty much nailed the instructions for "starting from scratch". Anything less and it's not really from "scratch".

It really is not as bad as it "sounds". The whole thing takes 20 minutes if you have a fast computer.

Maybe we should start a new thread and petition Frey to hire Cayars.

i was hoping for a way to only uninstall this stv and its components without uninstalling the whole sagetv application. Everything else seems to be working fine. I will try it tonight and just keep my fingers crossed and my guess is that it will solve my problem.
thanks

I dont want to beat a dead horse, but cannot stress enough how important the backups are. Would suggest you back everything up before trying it. Just in case.... <end rant>

I can get you 90-95% there doing this. Switch to another STV and then shut down SageTV.

Edit your property files and remove all entries that start with Cayars which should be at the top of the file.

Switch to your STVs/OriginalV2 directory and then delete "cayars" & "Weather" directories.

There are a few java class files that could be removed but I'm not going to recommend that since you could be using something else that needs them. If you're worried about the class files then I'd suggest uninstalling JAVA completely and manually remove the directory from program files. Then re-install Java.

Start SageTV.

You are correct on all counts. You might be able to also remap the keys in SageTV so it doesn't get the volume up and down commands. Either should work.

Yes, all of the settings are correct.

Also, I should say that the error pops up immediately after selecting Burn DVD (no debug windows pop up)

Comskip auto process Archives still no go

Last night I did reboot my workstation (Client w/v17A installed) but not the Server. This morning I rebooted both. Twenty minutes later comskip still not launching to process archives, Client sleeping. Woke Client, enabled "while awake" processing, still no comskip launch. Enabled "while recording", still no launch. (Nothing scheduled to record for a couple hours so shouldn't have made a difference but what the heck.)
Background processing; Enabled
Processing Times: While awake & recording both enabled
Recording Types: all four enabled
No ignore channels
Nothing else to enable yet still won't launch. Not the end of the world, but bummer. Comskip doesn't like my archived shows! (unless I manually start it.)

Ok, I just manually started a half hour archived show, comskipping along fine. Will see if it'll continue and launch another one on it's own when the manually started finishes... will update.

DVDBurner.exe

After installing 17A I'm having a similar problem to Abasu2003.

I'm getting an error that states:
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=0xf78(3960), Thread id=0xf58(3928).

Have you tried it with one 30 minute show?
