odd. For me, the files stay at 0 byte. Maybe Ill have to re-run through my settings.

Do you connect to 127.0.0.1:whateverport for your encoder? This is how mine was configured, but ive been wondering if I should even bother trying hostname or actual ip(im sure it wouldnt do any good, but the question has been looming in the back of my head, none the less...)

I.

I have 127.0.0.1\:6969 specified as the encoding host.

The channel change freeze bug appears to be a known issue that is supposedly resolved in the latest beta.

There is also the possibility that the new beta is sending commands that SDVBRecorder doesn't recognize or acknowledge???

Cheers

Peter

I've tried the new SageTV 3.0.5 Beta and it resolves the channel switching freeze for me in both SDVBRecorder and my new MyTheatre plugin.

Cheers

thats good news. Unfortunately for me, when I upgraded, it hosed my setup pretty bad, and I did not have enough time to bring it back to life before primetime. That pissed the wife off pretty bad.

I will now watching the beta from the sideline

Has anyone gotten the DVB-S plugin to work for FTA signals in North America? Does the plugin extract program info from the DVB stream the way Myth does?

Thanks,
Mike

Actually, Dish Network uses DVB, though it's encrypted. There are a ton of Free-To-Air programming available via DVB broadcast in North America.

Thanks,
Mike

Interesting. I'm not sure there is guide info available from Sage's provider for some of these channels. I'll have to do some more digging. Does anyone here use this plug in to pick up FTA that's not on the Echostar satellites? How did you solve the guide data problem?

Thanks,
Mike
