![]() Well, yea I just found the AIW in a box when I thought it was empty and in another system. So, it became my cheap upgrade option and did provide me with a better remote than the Hauppauge. |

Yeah, price is pretty much the only reason not to use it, so if it's "free" then go for it.

I can only seem to either get 640x432 which is bloddy small for anything other than Sage (try surfing the web!) or 1920x1080i, which is way too big! That has been my second nightmare, after trying to get my bloody pvr250 to show anything in either sage or wintv2000. Thanks in advace! |

That's pretty much it, most CRT RPTVs only support 480p and 1080i scan frequencies. Actually, I generally use 1776x1000 on the adapter which compensates for overscan pretty well.
You might want to try 960x540, it's the same scan frequency as 1080i so it should work on your TV, the question becomes if the drivers will let you do it. I know where you're comming from with the 480 is to small (not enough area) and 1080i too big (everything's too small). I'm lucky in that my HD-Ready accepts 800x600, so that works pretty well for surfing/maintinence. As for getting a picture, the adapter shouldn't change anything. Are you using multiple monitors/extended desktop? If so, try setting your HDTV as the primary display or changing your video renderer. |
