In my case, neither live nor recorded works from my HDPVRs on the mini clients.

I had to Remux my TVE recordings to mkv using SageTV Conversion... Skipping was erratic but that fixed it... I have my TVE favorites automatically remux to mkv... and delete original.

If I try to Remux on the FLY by setting remux to always no Video or sound ... it appears to me that the built in remux is somehow mapping the audio as the first stream and Video second.

Hey, I am so sorry, but I did not catch you wanted a log from me. I am a little out of it fighting the dreaded Covid-19 right now. I will see is I can get you one this morning. I can tell you for sure that this is not specific to the Shield and that I have tried a variety of settings and nothing seems to work. I cannot play Live TV nor can I play imported Videos. Most of mine are MKV, MP4, or M4V created with Make MKV or Handbrake.

With the new release that populated over night my TVE is not working at all ... only thing working is OTA via HDHomeRuns ...

I uninstalled Sagetv from one of my Shields and reinstalled it so I would have a clean start. I had changed a bunch of things trying to fix this issue so that seemed like a good idea. Then I did the following:

Tried to watch Live TV from My HDHR Quatro - Black Screen
Tried to watch Live TV from My HDHR Prime - Black Screen
Tried to watch an MKV Stored Video - Played fine
Tried to watch an M4V Stored Video - Black Screen
Tried to watch an MP4 Stored Video - Black Screen

The sagetv_0 file is too big to attach or even Zip. Is there some specific clear point that I need to cut it to send?

Do you think you can send me an example file? And do you have any other info you can share to help me narrow this down. Is it affecting all clients. Just Shield? Where you using the Beta from Patreon? Did you see these issues with that beta? This one really has me stumped.

The two areas that I clipped and posted from "boukmandutty" would be helpful. I want to see what codec/container support the Android is reporting to SageTV, and I want to see what happens when SageTV tries to send the content back to the client.

Everything is working now with the previous release ... I will send you a TVE sample ... This also affected Scheduling recordings n TVE as they failed. I will know more in a few minutes when some favs are scheduled to record. This also caused and out of memory error in my Linux SageTV Install.

Josh I was not using TVE in SageTV when testing the Beta.

That one statement is a little odd. Can you elaborate. "This also affected Scheduling recordings n TVE as they failed". How could that happen from a client change. The client should have no impact on SageTVs recording...?

They all failed probably because I got an out of memory error and could not even connect to SageTV. 1.10 must have a memory leak.


I am willing to load it up again and give you the logs.

Alright. That helped a lot. I was able to make this break on my phone. I see that for some reason the MPEG2-TS is getting put in the PULL_CONTAINERS support list. This is wrong. It should only be in the push list. The strange thing is that I am not seeing this on all devices. Not sure why. I will try and fix this ASAP. Hopefully this is the main issue.

Here is part of the sagetv_0.txt file that I think you want? Also, I sideloaded the 1.9.3 version on one of my Shields and on a clean install it works perfectly... Do you know if this will stay at this version since I loaded it or will it get updated again?

Side loaded will not get updated because you did not use the APP store.
