Yes I did. i followed Freds instructions, edited the sage.properties file to remove the x86 path.

Did i need to copy something over for the plugins?

If you copied over properties and it thinks they’re installed, you’ll need the .jar files that go with them. As long as you don’t copy over any that are already in the 64-bit install, it’s probably safe to grab any you find. Look in the main and subdirectories.

I am not sure how sage will handle only having portions of plugins. For example, phoenix has supporting files under STVs folder. Gemstone has an updated theme under STVs/Sagetv7/gemstone...etc.

So coping the .properties will require strategic copying of other folders as well.

Did you copy and edit the filetracker.properties file as well? I believe this is where Sage keeps track of the plug-ins

Glad it is now working for you.

The last I knew, you still need to edit the registry to change the Java heap size.

Well i spoke to soon

Everything (plugin wise) works and displays. I can access shares, gemstone works. So UI is great

opendct initiates a recording, but i get no signal

usbuirt doesnt seem to be tuning (not flashing to change channel), not sure if i need to reconfigure that

could possibly be a decoder error as well , but cant tell yet

Close .

server and client logs attached

upgrading opendct to 64bit fixed those issues

Last known remaining issue is usb-uirt. it looks like this didnt install properly.

Sun 2/3 12:19:49.921 [EventRouter-00085c53a3cb@4531f3a3] Failed opening COM port 0. Trying again!
Sun 2/3 12:19:49.933 [EventRouter-00085c53a3cb@4531f3a3] Failed opening COM port 0. Darn!

If i go to "setup video source" and choose my source.
click on tuner control : USB-UIRT Transceiver RNG150N

change tuning device has a blank list - only choice is cancel
test infrared code has a blank list - only choice is close
remote control options has
-digits per channel : -1
-delay between codes -1 msec
-delay between channel changes: null msec

so either the install didnt work, i copied something over i shouldnt have, or i missed copying something

Did you copy over your .ir files/folders under the SageTV\Common folder?

I did not. I copied in just now, restarted service, but i am still getting the same errors.

I apparently missed this step

Re: USB-UIRT..
Even though I checked the box to install USB_UIRT drivers, it was necessary to manually copy SageTv\redist\uuirtdrv.dll (278KB) to C:\Windows\system32 to replace the old x86 (236KB) version of the file. After that, the USB-UIRT blaster works.

I also needed to do this.

After manually copying the dll usb-uirt works in 64bit. I went back and confirmed that it did not break 32bit.

I didn’t mention that copy because I thought Jusjoken got that sorted out in the latest installer. Maybe not?

I used SageTVSetupx64_9.2.0_beta_1.104.exe

File definitely needed to be manually copied.

That is for 32 bit. Use "...\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Frey Technologies\..." instead for 64 bit.

No. This still needs fixing. Works some times only...not sure why yet.

Music issues

Has anybody else have problems with music? When I want to listen to a song the program crashes. Happens with Gemstone and the default stv. Do you need a log?

Okay, here is where I sit. I have SageTV v9 installed on a 10+ year old Windows Vista machine. This machine has been running non-stop for that entire period. I am now beginning to encounter "issues" some equipment (a failed Power Supply fan that has no replacement, for instance) and some usage (perhaps lack of memory is at fault). It is time to stop fussing with it.

I have a somewhat new HP Laptop with a clean install of Windows 10? (I am not looking to get involved in BETA testing but that would probably be better than all the time I am currently spending on this.)

Is there a step-by-step procedure somewhere that shows me how to install the 64 bit version on the laptop and simply switch to that machine. I need a bit of hand-holding. (I can, of course, copy needed files from the Vista machine if necessary.)

Another problem ,sorry

Installing the beta client, on a windows 10 machine (try admin and non admin accounts) get an error trying to write the registry key for the "always demux" and "ac3filter" checkboxes. 2 errors, 1 for each. Insufficient permissions.

If I ignore, installer completes successfully.
