Will the plugin pull data back from Trakt?
Say I watch a tv episode (That is included in SageTV) by using Plex and then Plex updates the watch flag with Trakt, can I get the watched status to sync back with Sage? I have it configured as Sync watched history from Trakt to Sage = Yes It doesn’t update the Sage status of items I watch in Plex - at least for me. Do I have to do a manual sync to get data back in Sage? Can it be automated? Even once a day would help.

Is there a way to download the dependencies manually?
Hello
I'm getting dl.bintray.com errors when trying to download the Trakt 0.13 plugin ... The commons-codec-1.9.zip file (amongst others) is giving an error when SageTV tries to download it but I can download it with Chrome no problem. If I launch a jar-classfile with Code:
java -Dhttps.protocols="TLSv1.2" ClassName So would I be able to launch Code:
c:\SageTV\SageTV\SageTV.exe -Dhttps.protocols="TLSv1.2" ClassName Code:
java sage.jar -Dhttps.protocols=TLSv1,TLSv1.1,TLSv1.2 ClassName some examples have the protocol options in quotes ... Code:

Version 0.16
Version 0.16 is available in the plugin manager. Changelog:
In the next version I will focus on recovering gracefully from "Trakt Unavailable" situations. Now that I've been using this plugin for a while I realize that the Trakt API is down quite a bit ![]()

Spinning Icon with new TRAK.TV release
I upgraded to latest version of this plug-in and I now receive the spinning wheel when I navigate to the Recording options from either the Program guide or from the Recording Schedule. I can play previously recorded content with no problems on the Record Options menu.
I disabled the plugin and the recording options works fine. As soon as I re-enable the plugin it hangs again. I uninstalled and reinstalled and have the same issue. I have hopefully attached the correct log file which shows that it is very busy doing something. The error is at 15:12 I deleted alot at the end of the log file where it was just looping over and over again. |

Just to be clear. This happens when you are on the Recording Options dialog that asks of you want to make the recording a Favorite or Manual? Does it happen anywhere else?

hi,
just discovered this thread and plugin and it is just what i was looking for (but didn't know i needed until very recently). due to spouse approval factor problems (for the first time in many years) with lip sync delay with sagetv playback on nvidia shield, i'm using MrMC (kodi-like) for playback. i've been manually switching back to the sagetv client on my nvdia shield to delete and set shows as watched, but it looks like i can use the trakt plugin to have this happen automatically. bravo Tom! update: have my trakt account, next step to add plugins to sagetv and mrmc

slight tangent.............is there a parameter in sagetv settings to limit the period of time that Wiz.bin keeps track of recordings? i seem to remember that there was, but couldn't find it while browsing settings.
basically, i'd like to prune my Wiz.bin file to only cover the last year or two

Keep in mind that the plugin will NOT ever clear the watched status on sage based on what happens in Trakt. (i.e. If you clear the watched status on Trakt, or you clear the watched status on another device that propagates that information back to Trakt, the watched status will not be cleared on Sage.) The plugin is fairly solid at the moment but I am continuing to develop it. If you find issues, or have comments on how to improve it, just let me know. The next iteration will address the situation where Trakt is unavailable. From my testing I can tell you that Trakt is fairly unreliable. They use "Cloudflare" which seems to go down every few days for no apparent reason ![]() I have also discovered a way to handle odd ball shows that are not movies and are not really "TV episodes" either. The current version of the plugin is not able to find them on Trakt, the next version will ![]() All in all I think using Trakt as a "central database" for storing the watched status is a pretty good solution.

first thing i did was to turn off all messages ![]() thanks for your work on this plugin. as usual, sagetv community was there with what i needed when i needed it........awesome..........even my wife was impressed when i told her at dinner last night (bonus points) i seem to remember that there was a parameter to say how long back sagetv should remember watched shows..................but maybe i'm remembering beyondTV, so it could be a very very old memory

Tom - any luck with the 'double-watched' entries on the Trakt site from the plugin?
This seems to be my biggest annoyance so far with the plugin that I am aware of.

No. It doesn't do this on my systems. Can you reproduce the error and then send me the sagetv_0.txt log file? Don't let the "spinning circle" go on too long, it may fill the logfile and cause you to lose the info I need to see what happened.
