Your problem is very bazaar as you might have guessed. Everything is working exactly as it should, but the tuner isn't producing any UDP packets for over 6 seconds. I believe you commented that your other tuners aren't working anymore too. Have you already tried just shutting the computer down and cutting the power for a few seconds just to let everything reset?

It has been awhile since building SageTV. Have lic for Ver6 not 7.
Building V6 found even older Hauppauge not playing live TV video. Will attempt to upgrade to V7 see if things improve. Maybe time to jump to Linux(Ubuntu) and open source V9.
If I'm going to beat my head go all the way! Is it worth going to SSD?

I'm going to be moving my original Ceton InfiniTV4 pcie (with Time Warner cable card) from SageDCT to OpenDCT this next weekend (SageTV v7). I'll let you know if I experience any of these same issues.

I did follow some really great instructions for the OpenDCT installation on this same upgrade on another Sage server this last weekend that went well (but with Prime's on that system).

Are you absolutely sure that your cablecard is paired to your Infinitv properly (by calling the cable company)? I have experienced a similar problem like this where they became "unpaired" when the cable company did a system upgrade, yet everything in the diagnostics claimed they were still paired - data was coming in, but the recorded show file size always remained zero bytes, and it resulted in a black screen with no-signal.

Will verify - would be my luck to spend days troubleshooting and screwing up a working system for a cable company problem.

Your Ceton device has a web page. Go to the web page and click on the CableCARD tab. It should tell you there whether or not it is paired correctly.

Is there a Win10 64bit version of OpenDCT? the installer I see is OpenDCT_0.4.17_x86, when I run it flash's up the 2nd CMD screen and quits. see no log files in ProgramData directories.
Ceton InfiniTV4 Win8 64 install has callouts for 32bit dependencies?
Still have not found my SageTV V7 license code. Is there a way to pull from old installations?
Tempted to go to Ubuntu LTS but do not want to learn new OS while troubleshooting an application problem.
With the 2 observations above, should I rebuild Win7 32 or Win10 32 or 64 bits.

The M-Card appears to be paired OK. Had cable company resync card with no difference. Tried fresh install of SageTV V7 and can't get pass the unlicensed BS. SageTV V6 to V7 upgrade didn't work. I thought after Google purchased Frey the released V7 did an clean upgrade with old license codes?
Thought a clean OS with fresh installs would get me around what ever is KAPUT in original setup.
Clean install of Win10 64bit, infiniTV installed, OpenDCT installed, OpenSource SageTV_9.0.3.214_beta0.0002 installed.
OpenDCT does not see the 4 tuners as previously. What did I miss?
UNinstalled-reinstalled SageTV V7 - copied backed up folders over the new install taking care of the license request
disabled Services for InfiniTV and OpenDCT, removed InfiniTV4 card, removed SageDCT entries from Sage Tuner
SageTV works with 2 Haupauge tuner cards
Ordered InfiniTV6 to replace InfiniTV4
My question is when I get the new card, What needs to be reinstalled to get the InfiniTV and OpenDCT playing well.
Java Version? DirectX? Gemstone UI? I am at SageTV7.1/9/256, Java 1.7.0_80, Windows 7 6.1 32bit
Do I need to remove the Hauppauge tuners?
Do I need to make the edits to the upnp entries in OpenDCT.properties?

If you need help with the upgrade from v6 to v7 with your current license, we should probably keep that in another thread. In the meantime, you can check out this thread if you haven't already;

[link removed]

EDIT: If you are using SageTV v9 then the instructions on applying the license are different ... you are trying to do quite a few things all at one time here ...

KryptoNyte as my troubleshooting efforts with EnterNoEscape did not correct my lack of video. I am attempting to fix my problem by rebuilding the system. New OS Win7 64bit. New HDD a 240GB SSD. New Ceton InifiTV6(just arrived).
I do not want to take on more problems by jumping to V9. my research says it is not quite ready to replace V7. If I am wrong, point me to the proper forum to educate myself please. The link in your last post was removed before I had a chance to see it. I have been a SageTV fan since 2004 Version 4. I am a basic user ATT. Record and watch cable TV. Have HD300s on 2 TVs and the theater system.
Did a fresh install of SageTV V7.1.9, even copied old directory over the top of install as that corrected the Lic problem last time. Still getting the 'This is not free..'message. deleted reinstalled. Have SageTV V7.1.9 on C:\SageTV\ with the Fixed Sagetv.exe and SageTVService.exe copied into. Now starting SageTV gets stuck in Service initiating.
Unfortunately I am not a coder but have enough experience to follow some of the topics. Is the complete install/upgrade process documented somewhere? I have the OpenDCT process but want to get a clean install of SageTV to eliminate problems. Or at least that was the plan.

Sticking with SageTV V7 is probably a good idea for now.

Uninstall Java if it's already installed on your new computer. Go here;
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/ja...s-1880261.html
Download the file, 4 up from the bottom; "jre-7u80-windows-i586.exe"
Run the installer to install Java Version 7

Download OpenDCT
https://bintray.com/opendct/Beta/Ope...4.18-Beta/view
I would recommend "OpenDCT_0.4.18_x86.msi"

Free upgrade to version 7;
http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56225

Instructions for getting OpenDCT up and running;
http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...&postcount=175
(do not do step #23 in those instructions)

A few things;

1) My personal opinion is that, if you went the distance to get this up and running on a new OS install, and you know that you've had problems with the old installation, I would not copy the old Sage directory to the new machine - basically bringing your old problems to the new machine. My recommendation is that you backup your Sage directory, uninstall SageTV, delete the Sage directory completely on the new computer, and start the install over from scratch.

2) I assume that you put the M-card in your new Ceton 6-tuner device - have you called the cable company to pair that card to that new device?

3) If your license key and associated name are not authenticating properly with SageTV version 7, you need to put in a support ticket and ask that the license be checked. Do that here;
http://www.sagetv.com/request.html
Make sure that you check the email that was sent to you when you purchased the SageTV server software, and provide the exact name and license key that you were given in the email.

Thank You VERY MUCH!!
Being an OLD Techie with no patience I went and installed the latest Windows Installer Beta. The old Haupauge Tuners work, the Ceton InfiniTV6 almost worked. The M-card would not respond to the cable company reset, they sending a tech? As EnterNoEscape commented OpenDCT doesn't do ClearQAM well, gets a signal but picture pure garble.
I am in debt to you all: EnterNoEscape, KryptoNyte, HelenWeathers and all you super coders who put this fantastic application in working order. THANK YOU!

At present, ClearQAM works best if you have another InfiniTV device with a paired CableCARD; it will automatically use it as a reference. I have been using ClearQAM for over 2 months with OpenDCT and the only time I have seen the picture get garbled on ClearQAM is when channels contain analog copy protection which the InfiniTV enforces the instant it's detected resulting in OpenDCT constantly re-tuning the channel which makes playback almost impossible to watch. If you're running the latest beta, I should be able tell you rather quickly from your OpenDCT log file if you're getting hit by analog copy protection.

There is an unsupported firmware fix for the InfiniTV 6 devices, but nothing for InfiniTV 4 and the unsupported firmware for the InfiniTV 6 doesn't appear to be without new issues. I noticed it was a little flaky at times with signal locking. It's also worth noting that Ceton has not release a new firmware in over a year, and given the InfiniTV 6 is basically their flagship product, I have a feeling that this unsupported firmware will be the last firmware we will ever see from them.

And the battle continues. Got the cable company to reset all configurations and now have green checks in all blocks.
Removed the Haupauge tuners from SageTv config. setup one channel to verify working. Go to the Program Guide, pick a basic channel and we get a No Signal at first then a garbled pixelation. Back to the guide pick a HD channel - get black/blank screen except pixels at top of scren.
The Haupauge 2250 & 1600 cards receive basic cable with analog tuners OK.
Will uninstall SageTV and reinstall V7 - or at least try to.
Should I remove Java also? or will that require reinstalling OpenDCT also? system currently shows Java 7 Update79 and Java(TM)6 Update 10 installed.
Could that be the problem somehow java 6 got in the mix? this was a clean install nothing else on the box. somewhere I saw how to check which java version sagetv is pointed to...

Sorry time to slow down and see what I have...
Java 7 is the active version in control panel. No 64bit versions installed.
In the Ceton Web pages, is the tuner streaming suppose to be started or stopped(default).
Trying the uttp tuning offered earlier gives a black screen, did not see pixilation?
Previously recorded shows play back OK.
OpenDCT log attached.
I have to be missing something??? Or do I do the Microsoft fix - clean install?
Again...

The video detection in that log file is a train wreck. FFmpeg can't seem to figure out what's going on with the video. I recommend trying the latest beta, 0.4.18. Many others have been using it and appear to be doing very well so far.

Also just so you're starting on a clean slate with OpenDCT when you upgrade:
1. Stop SageTV service.
2. Stop OpenDCT service.
3. Delete C:\ProgramData\OpenDCT\config\opendct.properties
4. Install OpenDCT 0.4.18.
5. Start OpenDCT service.
6. Start SageTV service.

Update: I'm actually fairly certain the upgrade will work out for you. I suspect the actual problem is relating to the packet size and the 0.4 beta has that possible situation fixed.
