I just installed the new updates Jusjoken and want to thank you for posting the new build as I missed the 2nd one I think as I see there were 3.

Other then windows 10 telling me the program should not be run everything is working great it seems as I will know more tonight when my shows record.

By the way, is there any other changes to the new update besides the Schedules Direct option being added that you can share?

I just wanted to thank you and tell you all your work is appreciated.

Was doing an upgrade from 9.0.4 to 9.0.8.429.

During the install run it had a problem with ac3filter, just clicked on ignore and let it finish. I ran the install again and selected repair. It still didn't complete with ac3filter. I had installed and configured ac3filter_full manually a long time ago. I see the installer is installing ac3filter_lite. Here's the log of the install. You can see where it starts giving errors as soon at it tries ac3filter.

Experimented a little....

1. uninstalled ac3filter
2. ran the v9 installer, repair
3. install completes with no problems
4. ran the v9 installer again, repair
5. install gives errors due to ac3filter

So it wasn't my prior install of ac3 filter. It looks like problems with ac3filter if it is on the system.

A different problem....

The v9 installer does not read the location of a prior install (v7) and/or does not ask for the location at which you want to install it.

I've always installed SageTV to C:\SageTV, not into the default C:\Program Files (x86)\SageTV. This was because I didn't want to have any write access problems using the C:\Program Files (x86). So when I run the v9 installer I would want it to install to C:\SageTV, but it doesn't. It puts it into C:\Program Files (x86)\SageTV.

Can you add the functionality for the installer to read the location of a prior install and/or ask for a location to install to?

Note: I had done a manual update from v7 in C:\SageTV to v9.0.4.232.

So for right now I don't have a way to do an upgrade using the installer with what I have in C:\SageTV. I did an uninstall of 9.0.8.429 and copied back my backup of 9.0.4.232 into C:\SageTV.

I could have sworn you could change the installation directory by hitting the options button in the windows installer on one of the very first screens...perhaps the screen where it asks for your license key for EPG updates.

I updated from 9.0.7 and now I am missing TV in my menu and the option of adding tv sources from the setup menu.

I fixed it by deleting the sagetvclient_0.txt file and relaunching the client.

This is the same release but the installer will show version 1.004.

I had missed including the "JavaRemuxer2.dll" that EnterNoEscape had added back in June so it is now included.

A while back I tried to use the ver 9 install to update, and upgrade from ver 7. I had tons of install problems on my sage server, but managed to install ver 9 manually. A few days ago I tried to use the installer again, to upgrade to the most recent ver of 9...again same install problems. I have a another test computer that ran the installer with no problems... both running Windows 7. After all this time, I finally realized the install problem. I never let windows 7 update on my server, and there was an update that directly effects the install of Sage tv ver 9. not having update (kb2999226) will cause the install to error... Just though I would share that info after figuring it out. installed the update and the installer runs fine now, and finishes.

Is there any reason the manual is no longer supplied with the Install? I was setting up a FLIRC and was surprised the manual was not there.

No reason. Just didn't include it as hoping somebody takes it on and refreshes it for v9.

I installed the latest build over a V7 install that was upgraded to V9 by copying the Sage 9 jar file. The upgrade went smooth and everything is working.

It shouldn't take that long.
Several people have posted similar symptoms and the fix was to delete a file called lucene.jar. There should only be one such file in your Jars folder. If there is an older version left behind from a v7 plugin, you will have this problem.
