Nice, I will keep an eye out.

Can you humor me and try the 64-bit OpenDCT install?

The exact error reported from the JVM is literally that it can't load wrapper.dll because the DLL is 32-bit and the JVM is 64-bit. Then FFmpeg can't initialize for the exact same reason. The soft link to java.exe is under C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath\java.exe which should be the same java.exe you'll get from the environment path. It looks like based on what you're seeing on the command line, that doesn't appear to be the case for some reason.

Unfortunately I don't think that file actually exhibits the problem I was describing. I'm not sure if these issues are sometimes temporary. Is the channel you got that from still not working well in OpenDCT?

No problem.

Can the OpenDCT properties file be modified with the OpenDCT service running, then take effect on the next restart of the service?

OpenDCT modifies properties and saves them at various times including on exit, so no, changes will not persist if you make them while the service is running.

On port 9091, there is a JSON service that can be used to configure OpenDCT while it is running, but it would be more usable with a web interface around it.

I take it back. I didn't notice the dates in wrapper.log. The 64-bit errors were from September. The most recent entries are indicating you have a 32-bit JVM as you have indicated.

Edit: When is the last time you upgraded your firmware? One of the reasons the device will not load is because the property /sys/hwmodel doesn't exist on the capture device.

Any documentation on this? It may be a nice UI Mod plugin project for me

I don't want to put this too bluntly, but that interface was put there because you specifically were interested in having it.

I believe you received a few PM's with slightly better direction several months ago. I didn't document it much because I wasn't sure if what I had so far was good enough for what you wanted to do.

That's a good starting point. This is also a good place to get a little help on how you can create JSON replies to change settings, etc.

https://github.com/enternoescape/ope.../PojoUtil.java

This package pretty much has everything you would need to provide GSON to get usable POJO's on the SageTV side of things.

Point taken. I'll go back and look at those PMs again. I didn't realize these APIs where in there in the form you suggest.

Adding a little more to this:
When POSTing to /general, /discovery/:discoverer, /devices/:capture_device or /consumers/:consumer you provide a JSON array of property/[value|values] pairs (key/value essentially). value is for single value properties and values is for array based properties. The easiest way to check these if needed is if value is null (it can be an empty string, just not null), then values should be populated. That way single value properties don't need to be stored in a single object array. Properties are filtered against the devices you're actually intending to update and a POST will not blindly write to the properties files. If you try to update something that doesn't exist, you will get a JsonException (in JSON). The wording in these exceptions is formatted well enough that it could be displayed if you so choose.

Ex.
POST http://localhost:9090/devices/-1831799213
[{
"property": "sagetv.device.-1831799213.consumer",
"value": "opendct.consumer.DynamicConsumerImpl"
},{
"property": "sagetv.device.-1831799213.streaming_url",
"value": "http://192.168.1.168/hdmi"
},{
"property": "sagetv.device.-1831799213.streaming_url2_channels",
"values": [ "502", "508" ]
}]

The first thing I'm noticing is that you are likely not running the latest beta. It fixes the unlikely IP address (208.115.201.203) you are getting for the HDHomeRun when it's getting the lineup information.

The second thing I'm noticing is that OpenDCT needed to do a frequency-program lookup for your Prime. Does it have a CableCARD installed? It looks like it's being used as a ClearQAM device. OpenDCT can work with QAM, but it needs another capture device that actually has a CableCARD installed to use as a channel mapping reference.

Thanks for the help (and quick reply)!

I will try to install/make sure I have the latest beta.

Re: the cablecard...I should have mentioned that. My cable provider does not encrypt most of the channels (i.e. the basic package) which I have so I don't use a cablecard currently. Is there a way to setup openDCT with a HDHR Prime without use of a cablecard? If not, is there a HDHR device that would work without cablecard?
